2021年6月17号，应我校材料科学与技术学院彭生杰教授的邀请，Wiley材料科学期刊出版社编辑马露露博士到访材料科学与技术学院，于在西区材料楼259做了题为《Publishing in Wiley Materials Science Journals》的学术报告，我院师生参加了此次报告会。
报告人简介：
马露露，博士，Wiley出版社编辑。2010年本科毕业于北京化工大学化学工程与工艺系，2015年3月在美国莱斯大学材料科学与纳米工程系获得博士学位。随后加入Wiley出版社，目前负责旗下材料科学学术期刊Advanced Sustainable Systems, Solar RRL, Small, Advanced Energy Materials和Energy Technology的编辑工作。
报告摘要：
A highly competitive research environment with increasingly limited research funding has created a “Publish or Perish” attitude among scientists who are judged on the quantity rather than quality of their research articles. This presentation provides a brief overview of current trends and challenges in scientific publishing, some ethical considerations, how publishers and authors interact and influence each other, and how the publishing arena is being transformed. Tips will be presented on how to select an appropriate journal for your paper, what aspects of preparation and presentation to focus on from an editor’s and referee’s perspective, and hints for increasing the discoverability of your paper after publication.
报告内容：
马露露博士首先介绍了Wiley出版社旗下的多个期刊，并重点介绍了Advanced Materials、Small等国际前沿期刊的研究领域、投稿情况和国际影响等方面。然后马博士以Advanced Materials为例，向我院师生详细介绍了一篇文章从投稿到在线发表的具体流程，包括了投稿界面、编辑领取稿件、同意发送到审稿人审稿或拒稿、编辑将稿件发送至审稿人、审稿人审稿、审稿人提出意见、编辑汇总审稿人意见并发给投稿人、投稿人修改意见并回复、校稿、在线发表等等步骤。随后，马博士还列举了几个现实中遇到的投稿人和编辑或投稿人和审稿人之间的问题矛盾，一一作出解释说明，并给出了相对较好的处理方式。汇报末，马博士鼓励相关研究方向的同学积极选择Wiley出版社的期刊进行投稿。
最后提问环节，在场师生踊跃提问，马露露博士对在场师生的提问一一作出了详尽的解答，使得在场师生收获颇丰，讲座在热烈的掌声中圆满结束。
